This is a rare porcelain vase marked Waldershof Bavaria (circa 1920-1930s) before it was acquired by Rosenthal. The hand-painted decoration of this rare flower vase is spectacular and especially striking against the deep matte blue-green background. The flowers are extremely realistic, as is the foliage. The stems and leaves protruding from the colorful flora are crafted from 22k gold, as are the finishings on the edge, base and handle, all crafted with care and perfection.
The porcelain flower vase is stamped with the serial number No. 72, as well as an indication of the hand-painted 22-karat gold: “Waldershof Bavaria, GERMANY. Handarbyte. GOLD 22 KARAT"

This is one of those wonderful porcelain flower vases that don't come up for sale very often. In excellent condition, without chips, cracks or restorations.
