jindrich halabala was one of the most celebrated czech furniture designers of the 20th century, halabala worked as head designer for the united arts and crafts manufacturing company (up) in brno between 1930 and 1946.


he was a significant advocate of modernist, industrially manufactured furniture in czechoslovakia and had a tremendous influence on the interior design of many interwar and postwar czech homes.
