Johnson Brothers was among one of the most successful Staffordshire pottery workshops noted for its early introduction of British-produced "semi-porcelain" tableware, much of it exported to the United States from the 1890s through to the 1960s. The company's success was due in part to its ability to identify and follow trends that appealed to its customers in the United States, and in part to the high quality of its designs produced by skilled artists. Founded originally in 1883, from 1968 to 2015 it operated as a part of the Wedgwood Group.
Offered is a pair of 1950s glazed porcelain pink and white double-ended cups in the Old Staffordshire pattern.
The larger end (with the white band around its rim) measures 2.5" in diameter, the smaller end measures 1.875" in diameter, and they are each 4" in height. less
