A perfect example of the harmony that can be found between industrial production of furniture and clever design, the "Ny" … more A perfect example of the harmony that can be found between industrial production of furniture and clever design, the "Ny" chair features a collapsible form that completely folds down and can be tucked away while serving as a literally perfect minimalist seating example at all other times. Designed in 1970 by Takeshi Nii (Japanese, 1920-2007), the present early example is simply tubular chromed-steel without any applied arms and is upholstered in a heavy rawhide leather set over canvas for an incredibly strong and supportive seat.


Measurements: 33 1/2" H x 29 1/2" D x 24" W; 11 1/4" H (to low point of seat) and 16 5/8" H (to high point of seat)

Condition Report:
Chrome is polished and remains in overall good condition; one bolt custom machined and replaced; original leather with heavy discoloration and scuffing throughout, some loose stitches here and there; overall very comfortable, incredible sturdy and ready to place. less
