- In excellent vintage condition! However, due to age there are a few things I modified. These pieces were crafted from … moreIn excellent vintage condition! However, due to age there are a few things I modified. These pieces were crafted from a simple style but using very high quality rattan materials and techniques. The bindings are actually all original, intact and still super strong after all these years! I have had new foam cushions with Sunbrella upholstery created professionally. The bottom of the chairs have the original springs that is covered by new canvas. I have throughly inspected and cleaned this set, reviving the natural colors with a very light coat of boiled linseed oil. Some of the original finish (shellac?) has slightly worn off in uneven ways, mostly on the tops of the arms. This doesn’t take away from the beauty of this rare set, but wanted to mention because it’s hard to notice in the photos. Enjoy as is! The rattan is smooth and beautiful with natural color variations, or further refinish to your taste less
