This Really is an Exceptionally Nice Antique Continental Coin Silver Napkin Ring. It Comes from the Classic Victorian Era - Circa Late 19th Century. This Large Size - Scale Napkin Ring is Completely Hand Made and Decorated in a Beautiful Hand Chased Embossed Flower Design with Outstanding Attention to Detail. It has an Assortment of German Hallmarks that Includes The 800 Grade Coin Silver Mark as Well as the Crescent & Crown Marks that Denote & Confirm the Silver Content. It Also has the Winged Bird Mark that my Research has Determined to be Town Mark of Heilbronn Germany. My Research Also Confirms that the Town Marks on Silver were No Longer Used in After 1886 so This Piece Would have Been Made Before that Date. It has No Maker mark but it Could Easily Be Attributed to the Well Documented Heilbronn Maker Bruckmann & Sohne. It is in Very Nice Condition - Display Beautifully with Only Light & Minimal Age and use Wear. It is Lightly Tarnished. It is Quite Heavy with a Substantial Solid Silver Weight of 47.00 Grams / 1.511 Troy Ounces.
It Measures Overall Approx. 2 inches Tall x 1 5/8 inches Wide - Long

Most of the Continental European Silver Makers used and still do use Various Grades of Coin Silver - Typically 800, 825, 830, 833, 835, 875 & 900 Grades Etc. This Piece Being Marked 800 would have a 80% - 800/1000 Pure Silver Content. Sterling Silver has a slightly higher 92.5% Silver Content - that being 925/1000 Silver Content. All of the Silver Pieces that I Sell on Chairish are Professionally Tested and are Absolutely Guaranteed to to Have the Silver Content as Stated.
