Signed on plate on lower right margin "piranesi f." original title is etched on the lower right margin: "veduta del ponte lugano su l'anione nella via tiburtina risarcito ne' tempi bassi a sepolcro della famiglia plauzia" (the ponte lucano, with the tomb of the plautii) according to hind, this is the plate number 68 and this is the first state on iv. This beautiful view with a cinematographic cut shot is amazing for the intensity of the blacks and the sharpness of the line. In excellent conditions, except for some light foxing on the margins.
