origin albisola
period 1996
designer marco silombria born in savona in 1936 completed his artistic training at the 'arturo martini' classical high school in the city, a student of emilio scanavino. At the beginning of the second half of the 1960s he moved to turin where he opened an advertising agency. In the 1960s he approached ceramics and began to occasionally visit ernesto daglio's 'la fenice' factory in albisola for which he created some models intended for production. From the mid-eighties he definitively left advertising to dedicate himself to painting and ceramics and spent a period of time in the albisola where he collaborated with various factories including the 'fabbrica casa museo giuseppe mazzotti 1903' owned by bepi mazzotti and his son tullio (second of the name) and here he creates refined works inspired by classical vascular culture.
