Oil Painting by Gaspare Landi representing the popular story of Muzio Scevola trying to kill the Ertuscan king Porsenna. Very good conditions. Gaspare Landi (1756-1830) was an italian painter spending most of his career in Rome, where he joined the Accademia di San Luca becoming President of same from 1817 to 1820. He his well known for his mythological subjects. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
