Chinese Blanc de Chine covered dragon bowl, with a white glazed exterior, partially glazed interior and unglazed, inset base. A band of fine, blue, undulating, curvy vines, bracketed by double, blue, trim lines encircles the rim of the bowl. The body of the bowl is decorated with two, finely carved, three-clawed dragons amid Taoist flames above a wide band of finely carved, large, leafy lappets just above the short, extended foot. The cover has a short, heavy, vine shape finial and is decorated with finely carved clouds and Taoist flames and has a blue glazed, Ming dynasty, Nei Fu location mark. All artwork is in finely carved, low relief. Circa late 19th century no later than early Republic of Chine era.
