- Offered is an English oak biscuit barrel from around the 1940's. The body is in excellent condition, so many that … more Offered is an English oak biscuit barrel from around the 1940's. The body is in excellent condition, so many that you find have several vertical splits in the oak. This one has its original ceramic lining with no chips or cracks, just some age crazing to be expected. The lid and shield embellishment are chrome. There is wear on the lid especially near the knob obviously from years of use. The body measures 7" to the top of the lid and it is 6" in diameter at its widest. less
