This important set includes a collection of seven lithographs by Erté, each portraying a deadly sin with exquisite detail-lust, anger, sloth, gluttony, envy, pride, and avarice. These are each signed in pencil on the lower right, and numbered XXV/XL; also including a certificate stamp, though discreetly covered by the newly framed and matted presentation. Made in 1982, these lithographs capture Ertés iconic style but also offer a thoughtful exploration of human nature. The pieces ensure their preservation with added UV protection.
