Mark Rothko ( 1903 - 1970 ) is an American Modernist painter of Russian Jewish descent. Although Rothko himself refused to adhere to any art movement, he is generally defined as an Abstract Expressionist. His bold use of color fields make the artworks impressively iconic and highly individual. Rothko is considered to be one of the most important and influential painters of The Twentieth Century. Artworks by Rothko are included in the many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare rare out of print framed Abstract Expressionist extra large format poster print measures 30 3/8" W X 40 1/4" H X 1 3/8" D.

It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte eggshell finish black metal slim profile box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean vintage condition consistent with age, very light signs of handling, and very light minor wear.
