"Thistles to Flowers" is a botanical mixed media piece using acrylic, pencil, charcoal and a collage of vintage Wall Street Journal. It was inspired by acanthus and thistle flowers, some found on a walk on a local logging road. These hardy volunteers are a good example of the power of regeneration.
It was created on a piece of 19" x 30" Ramboard, a heavy construction grade of chipboard type paper. Lends itself to rustic and creative framing possibilities. See last photos for ideas. The watermark is not included on the original art. Will be shipped flat, unframed and insured in rigid cardboard packaging.
