Of particular … more A rare and extremely unusual cocktail shaker made in England in the early part of the 20th century. Of particular interest is the double skinned construction of the shaker. The underside unscrews to reveal a compartment dedicated solely for ice. Once securely closed it allows the user to create the perfect cocktail and pour the drink out as and when they wanted, keeping it cool but without the drink being diluted by the melting ice within the shaker. A clever mechanism for which a patent was applied for as can be seen on the side of the body. It is a truly ingenious mechanism which makes this one of the rarest period shakers on the market.
