The ship model is of the Santa Maria, which was Christopher Columbus' flagship. It is mounted on what appears to be a cherry wood stand and placed on a navy background behind glass. The wood frame shadow box is cherry and has a brass plate that reads "Santa Maria Christopher Columbus' Flagship". The overall dimensions of the shadowbox are approximately 13 inches in width, 11 inches in height, and 2.5 inches in depth. The three-masted carrack made of blown glass measures approximately 4.25 inches in width, 2.5 inches in height, and 1 inch in depth. The shadowbox has a loop on the back for easy wall hanging. less
