The previous owner sent us this: " My grandfather, Douglas Sloane Watson, worked for WJ Sloane in San Francisco in the late 1800’s. This was around the same time that WR Hearst was building the Hacienda del Pozo de Verona for his mother in Pleasanton, CA, just east of SF. Our best guess is that my grandfather through WJ Sloane was asked to get some Mexican furniture for the Hacienda and acquired some for himself." less
