Beautiful reticulate Dominick & Haff sterling silver demitasse cups with Lenox porcelain gold rimmed liners.
The sterling silver cup were made by Dominick & Haff, the highly regarded American silver maker in New York City from 1868 to 1928. Pieces of their silversmith collection can be seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The British Museum, Brooklyn Museum, Cooper Hewitt, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Fine Art Houston, Rhode Island School of Design Museum. Some pieces have also been covered on the PBS Antiques Road Show.
The ivory colour, gold rimmed porcelain inserts were made by Lenox Company of Trenton, New Jersey. The capitol “L” in an open wreath over Lenox in green is the trademark used by Lenox circa 1906-30.
