This Henri Matisse rare vintage 1987 Postimpressionist custom framed iconic lithograph print poster " Goldfish " 1911, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The lithograph print poster is published by Portal publications Ltd, Corte Madera California, printed in The United States in 1987 in an unnumbered limited edition. It features an iconic Postimpressionist artwork image originally created by Matisse in 1911 titled " Goldfish ", Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow U.S.S.R..
Henri Matisse ( 1869 - 1954 ) The French born artist is known for both his sense of color and fluid aesthetic. Matisse is commonly regarded, along with Picasso as one of the most important artists who helped to define and influence radical Contemporary Art of The Twentieth Century. His mastery of the expressive language of color and drawing won him recognition as a leading figure in world Modern Art. Artworks by Matisse are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print framed Postimpressionist poster print measures 24 3/4" W X 36 1/2" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern brushed brass finish gold tone metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean vintage condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling.
