It was made at the beginning of the 20th century in the Aesthetic movement style with a beautiful floral repousse with tendrils and a rope trim with geometric shapes at the edges. Hallmarks are: none visible and appear to be ablated but tested sterling. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Height from top to bottom=3-1/4 inches, Width from side to side=5-1/4 inches, Depth=1-1/2 inches, Weight=220 grams or 7.07 Troy ounces. This marvelous silver box has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent antique condition, free from chips, cracks, damage or repairs. There is light surface scratching around the smooth edges of this lovely box, commensurate with age and use, but they do not diminish its beauty. The hinged lid closes securely for a snug closure.
