He was born April 1924, five years before the 1929 Crash, in Norwalk, Connecticut. We mention the Crash of 29 because in his formative growing up years, that the ensuing Depression influenced his personality and development greatly.
Most of his work was either portrait's mixed with flowers or landscape scenes, parks and familiar sites throughout the Boston area. His choice of colors both strong, yet subdued where needed, always creating a bit of a magical haze. The subject here, depicts a lovely woman sitting quietly in the garden most likely daydreaming. It is signed and dated 1989 on the lower left front.

Many of his paintings are done in oil on masonite, as is this wonderful work. The frame is a wood hand carved custom-made frame with gold leaf.
