They are exceptionally … more Proudly offering this pair of sterling silver compotes by International Silver in the “Maintenon” pattern from 1933. They are exceptionally tall and the compote portion is deep thereby able to hold a substantial amount. Around the edge there's a beautiful decorative motif of garlands, bouquets of flowers and swirls giving them an old world richness. Interestingly the underbelly, stem and base are sleek and modern. It’s only when you see the inner border that you appreciate their design. One other unique point is the paneled stem, rather than a simple round stem. This really adds to the style of these compotes. less
