This 96” in x 56” at center table has a knee clearance of 12” from chair to table and 29” from floor to table. The table has two additional leaves extending it to 144” .(Pictured) Of course the artist book-matched every piece of wood to allow for a seamless extension. This table has been handcrafted in the late ‘90s by East TN artist Michael Conti who has grown his craft to include yacht interior design and furniture build presently! The table features a center of quilted maple with a cherry border and edged band. The triple pedestal base consists of both quilted maple and cherry with the center pedestal removable when table is not extended to the full 12 ft. The 8 chairs were handcrafted with the table and are as stunning as the table itself, with beautiful inlays of maple and cherry. Each are 41 ½”H and 18"W with a 19” depth. Seat height is 17”. There are interesting details throughout the set, not limited to the beauty of the inlays and the artistry of the pedestals. This is the perfect table for any home who appreciates usable works of art and craftsmanship, but also appreciates entertaining. This set is jaw dropping and will be lovingly passed down for generations.
The table has been used in the family for the past quarter century and has few defects other than normal lightening of the surface of the 8-ft table. The leaves are in their original condition and darker than the table. There are a few light scratches on the tabletop surface and a few scratches on the pedestals. less
