This piece features a lovely background in a muted sunflower yellow with bold and deftly rendered brush strokes depicting a rabbit in black paint. The form and personality of the subject is achieved with a remarkable economy of strokes, full of movement, energy, and confidence brought about by unending repetition and exploration within Slonem's practice. The Frame is in a lovely mahogany with inlay detailing branching from each of the four corners with a gilt inner lining denoting the picture plane from the frame of the piece.
