This modern painting depicts a magical boat sailing through the subconscious, a dark seascape of geometric forms and contrasts: warm vs cool, hard lines contrasting against circular forms. The deep reds, oranges, and yellows of the lyrical sails billow through the dark blues and blacks of night, as the boat glides in forward motion. The sun on the left and moon on the lower center right signify balance and harmony, the union of opposites: intuition vs. logic, conscious vs. subconscious. The overall effect is serene and calm.
On the back of the canvas wood frame the artist has written some thoughts “lines create possibilities” and “My mind wants to make sense of everything. A boat with sails.”.
The painting is framed in a 2” wide gold leaf wood frame.
