A fine example of the artist's work, this piece shows his Cubist influence in the fractured, linear background. Three pigeons are seen perched on the branches of a tree, the birds being a favored subject for the artist. All is done in his oft-used color palette of blues, greens, yellows, and browns. The painting is signed by the artist lower right "R. Olivier 69" Additional markings on the frame, verso, read "ARTiSTE RAymond oliviER". See less
