Up for sale is a beautiful Antique 18-century original oil painting on canvas depicting a portrait of a beautiful woman In a dress of dark gold brocade trimmed with lace. A bright blue silk scarf is draped over the shoulders.
According to the inscription on the reverse, this is Maria Adelaida, and her portrait was painted in 1707.
No visible signature on the front.
The painting is in good/antique condition and has some craquelures due to age, cleaned, relined, and re-stretched. The canvas is a little bit wavy.
Presented in a gilded period frame with a custom-made liner. Please see the photos, the photos are part of the description.
Measures with the frame 37" X 32", painting 29" x 24".
