Description: A raised Chinese stand that was made in China from a tropical hardwood and then stained a dark color.

The stand has 4 pierced aprons around the lipped top. The long columnar round legs are strengthened by 4 struts at the feet. There are small brads on the lower struts. The rest of the stand was joined and probably glued without the use of brads.

An old paper label under the top reads “Teak 82E-1 con Lot #7-2.” I don’t believe the wood is teak, but rather another tropical hardwood.

MEASUREMENTS

9 ¼” (23.5 cm) tall x 5 5/8” (14.3 cm) wide x 5 5/8” (14.3 cm) deep. Weighs 9.1 oz (265 g)
