Highlighting the powerful imagery of a prowling Lion, the carpet's central motif features a cream lion atop a rich red background. Utilizing the contrasting hues between the light cream and the red background, weavers designated the alternating tones to depict depth and detailing for the lion's mane, paws, ears, and tail. Furthermore, the eye of the lion and torso detailing, completed in dark indigo, adds character to the lion. Surrounding the big cat is a simple and colorful border featuring tribal flowers and a repetitive dogtooth border. Adding life to the geometric flowers, green, gold, orange, red, and cream wool detail the exterior with dark indigo outlining each motif.
