Also available in colors: honey and purple. Isola side table is completely made in ceramic using a high-temperature furnace, to make the material stronger. The large base makes the object stable as well as unique in its design. Each piece is then finished by playing with the contrast between the rough surface and the soft shades. Suitable for indoor use. Design studio based in milan, is a collaboration between cara judd (south africa) and davide gramatica (italy). Graduating in product design from ied milan, cara and davide started their professional careers in diverse areas ranging from apprenticing with artisans to working with industrial companies before merging their experience in 2016. They work in the fields of product design, event curation and offer creative consultancy to studios and private clients. Cara and davide both lecture in the product design department at ied milan. Passionate about craftsmanship, they also produce their own series of products working together with artisans in italy and south africa. Medulum an ancient river flowing in the green countryside of the veneto hinterland, between emerged lands and swamps that have now disappeared. Medulum, one of the favourite waterways of the venetian aristocracy of old, indispensable for reaching their country homes. This is where our work draws its inspiration. We combine the experience of 40 years with innovative solutions, collaborating with architect and designer studios in the search and experimentation of new languages, through the craftsmanship of artisanal productions. Medulum has been designing and making furniture and accessories by searching for and experimenting with new languages, collaborating with architects and designers, with the craftsmanship typical of artisanal productions.
