The marks range from minor scuffs to a more noticeable scratch. There is also a rusty discoloration at her collar, as shown in photograph 10, which was apparently caused by an epoxy used to mount her at the Store entrance. A truly unique 6' 2" fiberglass sculpture of 'Anna G', a feminine figure created in the 1990's by Italian architect and designer, Alessandro Mendini (1931-2019), for Alessi. Alessi has been known for its fabulous household designs since the 1920's and often collaborated with great designers, such as Mendini, to produce distinctive designs for everyday items. 'Anna G' was initially introduced as a corkscrew and became a popular figure and best seller for the Alessi brand. This life size sculpture is produced in fiberglass and was designed to flank the entrance of a Store in Atlanta, Georgia that carried Alessi objects. She is a color combination of metallic silver, light yellow and maroon red. Anna is flat on one side and has aluminum bars across the back which could be used to anchor her to the wall though she is perfectly stable standing on her own. It is a rare piece and would be a fabulous pop art sculpture to add to a postmodern decor...especially in a kitchen, bar or dining area. Chair shown for scale.
