The chairs feature intricately … more This is a striking pair of American (?), possibly English Aesthetic Movement Parlor or Club Chairs. The chairs feature intricately arm support with a gothic design influence. The arm supports terminate in detailed carved rondels as do the top back supports. The legs are detailed with fanciful carved paw feet and and inverted spear points. The chairs are in overall very good condition: the frames appear to retain their original surface, but the chairs have been reupholstered in an embroidered silk. The silk is in good condition with a very few minor discolorations. The wood frames show the anticipated nicks and imperfections--all defined as patina. less
