"A Fine Transfer of 1937 with the Royal arms of England specially made for use on Regimental Drums for the Coronation of King George VI."

Original art, on board, with extraordinary detailing.

Spectacular presentation in gloss black, 15" tall by 14" wide, in a stunning gilt and black lacquer frame.

"Dieu Et Mon Droit", of course, with the lions rampant astride the Royal Shield.

Unbelievable detail, immaculate condition. Remarkable to think about for whom and where this was originally commissioned!

In keeping with Aesop's fable, Fox and Crow's Motto is "Beware of False Flattery!" So, with each listing we offer a true confession about the item...on a trip to Charleston, SC years ago we were invited into the storage area of a very fine antiquities dealer on King Street. My husband saw this - wrapped in plastic and still in a protective crate from shipping - and lost his mind. We bought it, got it home to Virginia, and only then discovered the historical document that accompanies it. A bit of genuine Royalty for sure. less
