His tenure at the University of Quebec in Montreal began in 1977. In 1981 he was a founding member of the UQAM Design Centre. The recipient of numerous design awards, the focus of many museum exhibitions, and a man of intelligence, charm, and skill, Mr. Halasa continues his research around the conceptualization of visual language in communication and design experiments.
