This large antique and ornately decorated pitcher is unsigned, but believed to have been made by the Nippon Company of … more This large antique and ornately decorated pitcher is unsigned, but believed to have been made by the Nippon Company of Japan in approximately 1900 in an Anglo-Japanese style. More modern examples do not have as intense of a "cake icing" decoration. The pitcher is very ornately decorated with raised and textured or moriage decoration in shades of green and purple with turquoise accents which border three panels of hand-painted flowers on a green background. The elaborate handle and spout also heavily decorated with raised decoration. less
