Cleminson Pottery Caltempo Fish Fin pattern platter/bowl. Shape reminiscent of fish and subtle scales in blue outline and pink glaze against a speckled gray background. Dainty legs on the underside. Signed Caltempo on the underside. Excellent vintage condition, consistent with age and use.
It was founded in 1943 and at first production happened in the home of George and Betty Cleminson until demand expanded and production moved to a factory off-site. Betty Cleminson is recognized for her whimsical, child-like designs. Cleminson pottery is highly collectible and sought after
