Made from all natural wicker rattan, with hand … more This beautiful basket features sculptural details depicting a graceful duck at flight. Made from all natural wicker rattan, with hand painted details on the beak and eyes. Using different thickness and weaving techniques for the rattan highlights distinct elements of the duck creating a highly textural and detailed depiction of the duck. Larger smooth pieces of rattan are layered over each other to created the feathers of the wings and woven together to create a sturdy bottom for the basket while more delicate flat strips are woven around the basket to create the ducks body. Attributed to Zhejiang Handicrafts in the People's Republic of China.
