Nannie Huddle (1860-1951) Beautiful Texas bluebonnet painting, Austin Texas. Presented in its original gilded wood frame, oil on artist board.
Nannie Huddle was the wife of William Henry Huddle (1847-1892). During the 1890s, Huddle studied at the Art Students League under William Merritt Chase, Wayman Adams and others. She returned to Austin to paint Texas landscapes. She was one of the earliest artist to paint bluebonnet landscapes. She was an active exhibitor from the 1920s until her death.
