On the Design:
The rug enjoys an antique wash that gives it the distressed shabby-chic look while still being a young piece in excellent condition
The red field underscores a medallion uniting all tones of the colorful design–most notably the navy and sky blue tones, pink and beige hues.
Dense and finely detailed, the piece carries elaborate florals around a medallion to create a regal, traditional Kerman sense of gravity while its many brighter colors lend a touch of whimsy—an exemplary negotiation of old and new together.
