It is structurally sound and very clean inside and out. The 3 dovetailed drawers glide smoothly. The finish is in nice condition as are the brass French-style pulls. The gold gilding trim work is intact and also in nice condition. less

The item offered is a small Baker Furniture French-style Walnut chest with 3 drawers, brass French pulls, and gold gilt trim. It is in wonderful condition and very shapely. And, it is quite small. I have never seen a Baker piece this small and not sure of its intended use but would be a great accent chest, a side table for a low-profile chair, or even a jewelry chest. The dovetailed drawers are long and shallow. It has a factory-aged finish and gold gilding around the top trim and around the legs. Very unusual piece by Baker.
