They Come from the Classic Victorian Aesthetic Movement Period. They are Signed by the Much Sought After & Well Documented Company Sarreguemines France. My Research Confirms that the Black Ink Stamp SARREGUEMINES FRANCE Mark was Only Used from 1875 to 1900. These Plates would have been Used to Serve Oysters on the Half Shell in the 6 Outer Wells with a Center Well for Horseradish - Sauces Etc. They Have Beautifully Molded - Sculpted Detailed Features that Includes Opened Clam Seashells. Each is Beautifully Hand Decorated in a Monochrome Green High Gloss Glaze. Note that Because Each of 4 Plates were Individually Decorated There is Some Slight Color Variations to Shade of Greens. The Set is in Excellent Cosmetic and Perfectly Usable Condition. They Display Beautifully. No Cracks - No Repairs. 1 Very Minor Imperfection Noted - One of the Plates has a Tiny "Flea Bite" Rim Chip on the Back Side - Perimeter ( Please See Last - 12th Photograph in Listing).
