Description: The set of solid cocobolo wood from Costa Rica has a very distinctive design that is reminiscent of 1940's Deco … more The set of solid cocobolo wood from Costa Rica has a very distinctive design that is reminiscent of 1940's Deco or the Arts & Craft Movement but were actually designed in 2002 by New York furniture/ceramic designer and painter G. Valenzuela.

The seat and back of these chairs have a gentle curve that creates a very comfortable seating experience. These two chairs have only been used in a furniture showroom environment. The chairs were produced in very limited numbers for a short number of years and are no longer in production.

Cocobolo is a tropical hardwood known for its dense structure and striking marble like grain.

Provenance: These two chairs were purchased as showroom models directly from G. Valenzuela for the NYC furniture showroom in 2002. less
