This Really is a Great Looking Authentic Antique American Primitive Stoneware Jug. Circa Late 19th Century. These were typically used for Liquids - Spring Water - Ciders - Hard Cider and Other Spirits. It has a Classic Salt Glaze Exterior. The Front Hand Decorated in Large, Elaborate and Unusual Cobalt Blue Design. The Number 2 is Also Highlighted in Blue Denoting its Two Gallon Liquid Storage Capacity. It Has No Maker Mark but it would have been Made in the Northeastern - New England Region. It is in Very Good - Much Better than Average Overall Original Condition and Displays Beautifully.
