These little green glazed tea/saucepots are typical of the ceramic glazed pottery made in the Shiwan kilns in Guangdong known as Shiwan ware, especially during the 18-19th century. Shiwan ware included all types of household wares such as vessels, cookware, teapots, chopstick holders and oil lamps. These saucepots are from Melaka City, Malaysia. Melakan antiques are often of Chinese origin as the Malay of Chinese origin maintained connection to their own Chinese heritage through family heirlooms and general household feature pieces.
