This is a very large pair of french brass fire dogs, the ultimate in Chateau Chic. They are made of cast brass in the shape of Classical Greek urns decorated with many swags and acanthus leaves, we have included a very basic log grate but this is not original to the Chenets. The Chenets are clean but we have not had them burnished in order to keep the original patina intact and they are charming as they are, the chenets can be placed in a choice of positions on their andiron base.s They areeach 12” high, 20” deep and 19” wide. less
