19th Century French Directoire mahogany recamier or daybed. Consisting of a high curved headrest and low footrest, both with carved swan head finials and carved rosette within diamond decoration to the crest rails, and turned tapering Neoclassical feet with carved rosette decoration at the top.
The daybed is fully upholstered on the front and back of the supports in a white fabric that's either finely woven linen or wool, and is fitted with a loose seat cushion in a different fabric of white cotton duck and filled with down and feather.
