This height-adjustable optometry examination table is estimated to have been made as early as the 1920’s by Bausch & Lomb — one of the world’s biggest optometry companies, which is still in business today!
Made in a very clinical & industrial fashion, the design for this table was simple: a cast iron & steel pedestal base with three legs, and a table top made of milk glass in a wood frame. One can then manually employ the wheel/screw mechanism just beneath the table’s surface to adjust the height of the exam table as needed.. less
