Both are structurally solid and extremely comfortable for lounging. I was the second owner of these chairs and they have been well cared for. Fabric shows its age and use. Minor sun fading/ slight discoloration to fabric throughout. Bouclé fabric was recently professionally steam cleaned. No odor. Fabric is incredibly soft to the touch. There are a worn spots to the fabric seat cushions and the arm. Foam on the back rest cushion has begun to harden with age. Very minor scuffs to mahogany feet. Feet are original finish. Otherwise very good vintage condition. "Lasagna strap" supports to upholstery. See images. less

As the longtime director of design for the Dunbar furniture company, Edward Wormley was, along with such peers as George Nelson at Herman Miller Inc., and Florence Knoll of Knoll Inc., one of the leading forces in bringing modern design into American homes in the mid-20th century. Not an axiomatic modernist, Wormley deeply appreciated traditional design, and consequently his work has an understated warmth and a timeless quality that sets it apart from other furnishings of the era
Revered for its handcrafted and highly collectible mid-century modern sofas, coffee tables and other furnishings, Dunbar Furniture was founded in 1910 in Berne, Indiana, but it didn’t gain widespread recognition until the ’30s when designer Edward Wormley joined the company.
