Our inspiration : the terracotta tiles have warmed from the sun to create the perfect place to perch by the sea. We occasionally jump to and from the tiled ledge for a dip into the cool Mediterranean, warming back up once our fingers have pruned again.
The Terracotta by the Sea rug is hand-knotted with a vintage distressed finish, made in Pakistan. This finish is something Ward + Gray have spent many years perfecting - the distressing is all done by hand with irregularity to feel time-worn and authentic, as though the same furniture has moved across it over the years. For these rugs we use hand-spun Ghazni wool which comes from Afghanistan and is known for its luster.
