Void 01 by dmnts design dimensions: 25 x 25 x 125 cm materials: oak unique pieces also available one piece in solid oak. All our lamps can be wired according to each country. Void 01 is a lighting monolith, based on a design process focused on the empty space, as the generative element of form and function, a specific shape, from an ancient olive tree, become the compositional matrix. The geometry, essentially distinguished by the contrast - juxtaposition between the solid materiality with the void brightness and a manufacturing process characterized by a marked craftsmanship methodology. The led tube nested in the structural base diffuse the light, screened in the interiors, through the pure oak’s monoliths from fsc(r) sources. Lorenzo demontis is an architect and designer based in sardinia, italy. Since graduating from sapienza university in rome, he has been working as freelance designer for various design and architecture studios in italy and in the netherlands, as well as carrying on with his own projects with dmnts. Lorenzo’s aim is to research and develop a design approach where archetype forms are combined with pure functionality and contemporary issues. Establishing new relations between advanced manufacturing and craftsmanship. Focused on a complete sustainability, where manufacturing scraps from wood, marble and plastic industries, regain a purpose through specific design investigations.
